L2 Snow Depth Monitoring

Cryosat L2 data includes a snow depth field for each 1Hz record. The snow depth values (in mm) are merged from a climatology model and can be used to adjust the freeboard estimate to account for snow-loading.

This tool provides global and polar plots of the L2 snow depth field for each 30-day data take.

Important Note: Since the snow depth is based on a monthly climatology, plots in this case show snow depth data for the complete month corresponding to the central date of each 30-day cycle.
